Mt. Shasta 21-Day Retreat Registration

From I-5, exit at the Central Mt. Shasta exit (exit 738). Turn left at the end of the off ramp, and continue past the train tracks to N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. Make a right turn onto N. Mt Shasta Blvd and as the road veers to the right at the Bank of America, turn left onto McCloud Rd. Continue 1.4 miles to Shasta Acres Rd and turn left. At the T in the road, turn left onto Monroe Way and continue until you arrive at 436 Monroe Way, which will be on your right.

Registration Options:

Our sangha is now called The Heart of Silence and has become a part of the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person and, as such, all retreatants are requested to make the suggested minimum donations for the intangible religious/spiritual benefit that participation in the retreat offers.  Those who are able are requested to give more in order to assist with those who can't. Donations may be tax deductible to you.  All prior arrangements will be honored.


There is a $70 facility fee for day use of the Gilden Lodge satsang room and amenities for all participants.  The fee is reduced to $25 for those attending ten days or less.

Full Retreat (21 days) WITH Private Housing: $1,890.  This is for the one available private room.(This includes a $5/day discount for attending the entire retreat.) Your required deposit is $735 (The housing cost) upon registering and is non-refundable after Sept. 24th.    A check for $805 for housing and facility fee is to be made out to David Waldman  ($735 plus the $70 facility fee ).  A check for  the retreat is to be made out to The Heart of Silence ($1,155) .

Full Retreat (21 days) WITH Shared Housing: $1,785.  (This includes a $5/day discount for attending the entire retreat.) Your required deposit is $630 (The housing cost) upon registering and is non-refundable after Sept. 24th.    A check for $700 for  Housing and facility fee is to be made to David Waldman($630 plus the $70 facility fee ).  Checks  for the retreat are to be made out to The Heart of Silence ($1,155).

 Two weeks (10/8 - 10/21) WITH Shared Housing: $1260   Your required deposit is $420 (The housing cost) upon registering and is non-refundable after Sept. 24th.  A check for  $490  for housing and facility fee is to be made out to David Waldman ($420 plus the $70 facility fee).  Checks for the retreat are to be made out to The Heart of Silence ($840).

Two weeks (10/8 - 10/21) WITHOUT Housing: $840 Your required deposit is $100 upon registering and is non-refundable after Sept. 24th.  A check for $70 for the facility fee is to be made out to David Waldman. Checks for the retreat are to be made out to The Heart of Silence($840).

One week (10/8 - 10/14) WITH Shared Housing: $630 Your required deposit is $210  (The housing cost) upon registering and is non-refundable after Sept. 24th.   A check for  $235  for housing and facility fee is to be made out to David Waldman ($210 plus the facility fee of $25).  Checks for the retreat are to be made out to The Heart of Silence ($420).

One week (10/8 - 10/14) WITHOUT Housing: $420 Your required deposit is $100 upon registering and is non-refundable.   A check for $25 for the facility fee is to be made out to DavidWaldman.   Checks forthe retreat are to be made out to The Heart of Silence ($420).

*** PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that participants attend for the entire retreat, however, if a participant is only able to attend one or two weeks, it is requested that the weeks start from the beginning of the retreat, i.e. - one week participants attend 10/8 - 10/14 and two week participants attend 10/8 - 10/21. The effects of the retreat are cumulative and therefore, the third week is reserved for those who are attending the full 21 days.***

Housing:

  • There are still rooms available at Gilden Lodge for the second and third weeks of the retreat.  Please contact Shanti as soon as possible if you are interested in staying at Gilden.  After the September 24th deadline, while retreat registration is still open, there is no guarantee of housing available, or of the cost of available housing for participants who register after that date.

  • Housing is available at Gilden Lodge, and at two other lovely nearby locations.

  • Some housing may be available with sangha members who already live in Mt. Shasta. Please contact them directly for that option, or call Shanti to discuss other options, such as B&Bs and camping.

  • The WITHOUT Housing option implies that you will be arranging your own accomodations, either with a sangha member in Shasta, or at another location.

  • Please note that housing preferences are on a first register, first come basis - so early registration is important!

Payment Information:

For this retreat, a $100 deposit is required upon registration,  non-refundable after September 24th, fourteen days prior to the event.

If you sign up for housing, the required deposit is the cost of the housing, non-refundable after September 24th, fourteen days prior to the event .
